November 29, 2022 – Kimball Midwest is participating in several charitable activities in connection with the National Day of Giving.
Many company associates participated in a recent canned food drive and holiday meal kit assembly event. The canned food drive resulted in more than 290 pounds of food donated from Kimball Midwest associates, and volunteer team members assembled 60 Thanksgiving meal kits to be distributed by the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Each meal kit weighed 10 pounds for a total donation of more than 890 pounds of food.
“Associates from all areas of the business pitched in to help with this effort; the teamwork with a common goal to help others in our community was really special,” said Meaghan McCurdy, Kimball Midwest’s Director of Culture, Diversity and Inclusion. “After we assembled the meal kits, a group of associates were able to take a tour of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective facility. It’s important that all our associates feel proud of the investments we’re making in our community, and this collective effort will have a huge impact of the lives of the families receiving these holiday meal kits.”
In addition, Kimball Midwest is contributing to both the American Red Cross and Feeding America in honor of the National Day of Giving. The Red Cross donation is designated to help with Hurricane Ian relief.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is in perfect alignment with Kimball Midwest’s core values,” Kimball Midwest President Patrick McCurdy III said. “We’re honored to partner with these important and trusted organizations in connection with this vital day.”
