Columbus, Ohio – July 8, 2021 – Kimball Midwest, a national industrial supplier based in Columbus, recently made its fifth straight appearance on a notable annual list produced by Selling Power magazine.
Kimball Midwest is No. 23 on Selling Power’s 50 Best Companies to Sell For in 2021. That’s up from No. 27 in 2020, No. 28 in 2019, No. 29 in 2018 and No. 32 in 2017, when the company made its first appearance.
“For many years, we’ve aimed to attract and develop the best sales team in the industry,” said Patrick McCurdy III, the company’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Inclusion on Selling Power’s prestigious list is a result of all the things we do to lead the way in areas like culture, onboarding, training and coaching.”
To assemble this year’s 50 Best list, Selling Power’s research team created a thorough application where they gathered data across four main categories:
• Compensation and benefits
• Sales culture
• Onboarding and sales enablement strategies
• Sales training and coaching
Sections also were provided for companies to spotlight any other information about their sales organization and culture that would help the research team fine-tune its rankings.
Companies were ranked in each of the categories to determine the final list. The methodology is the product of years of research, and Selling Power continues to refine the approach each year. Almost all the companies featured on the list invested in and offered thorough training specific to virtual selling in response to the pandemic. The list encompasses companies of all sizes, with sales forces ranging from fewer than 100 salespeople to companies with sales-force numbers in the thousands.
“The companies who earned a spot on this year’s list have truly world-class sales organizations,” said Gerhard Gschwandtner, Selling Power founder and publisher. “In addition to providing superior onboarding and ongoing sales training, they quickly pivoted their strategy to give their sales reps the tools and skills they needed to succeed in today’s digital, remote selling environment.”
